Wadjemup is the traditional name for Rottnest Island - a place of deep cultural significance and natural beauty. The Lodge Wadjemup is thoughtfully connected to this setting, offering a relaxed island base that reflects the spirit, pace and landscape of the island.

Set just behind the settlement and overlooking the island’s iconic salt lakes, The Lodge Wadjemup brings together heritage architecture and contemporary design. A newly built reception anchors open, communal eat-and-drink spaces, while our restored Courtyard Rooms and Lake View Rooms sit within the site’s original buildings.

Nearby, the new-built Poolhouse Rooms offer modern accommodation centred around our hotel pool, designed for all guests to enjoy.

Our Gathering Ground and flexible function spaces provide a natural setting for celebrations, events and island escapes — designed to feel connected, unhurried and distinctly Wadjemup.

Shelter and refresh. ‘Sunsets’ is an open dining / bar space with indoor and outdoor areas, serving great locally sourced Mediterranean inspired food and great drinks; from ice cold beer, to custom cocktails, to a curated focus on wine. Entry is off Kitson St or Boreham St, just come on in!

‘Pelican’ is our kiosk located on Kitson St facing the communal park in Rottnest’s main settlement precinct. Serving coffee, softserve and more…
