Eat, Drink

At the heart of The Lodge Wadjemup is ‘Sunsets’, our open Bar & Dining space with large indoor and outdoor areas, serving delicious food and drinks. Facing the main settlement is our little kiosk ‘Pelican’ serving up great coffee, softserve icecream, sandwiches and more.

Open to everyone — All island visitors are welcome to Eat & Drink with us.

Sunsets — All-Day Bar & Dining

Open to everyone

Located at the heart of The Lodge Wadjemup, Sunsets is our relaxed bar & dining space made for long, easy island days. The expansive front terrace overlooks the Rottnest salt lakes with a front-row seat to the west-end’s iconic sunsets. The sheltered rear courtyard offers respite from the sun and wind, with shaded pergolas, banquette seating and communal tables perfect for groups.

Inside, you’ll find everything from laid-back lounge spaces to social dining areas. The drinks list spans ice-cold beer, custom cocktails and a curated selection of wines. Our Mediterranean-inspired menu heroes fresh, coastal flavours and locally sourced ingredients.

Think long, lazy lunches and sunset cocktails that taste like holidays.

Breakfast

Join us for breakfast from 7:00am–10:00am. Enjoy our breakfast buffet featuring hot dishes, cereals, fruit, pastries and our signature frozen yoghurt.

Everyone’s welcome — in-house guests and visitors alike. Bookings and walk-ins both available.

Pelican Coffee & Softserve

Our little kiosk serving coffee, softserve and more… Satisfying the call of parents and kids alike. Open all day for putting smiles on dials.

Bringing the excitement of the corner milk bar or the ice cream shop of old, Pelican is both for kids and for adults who are kids at heart. Stock up on sambos and rolls to take on the road, or sit back and relax under the umbrellas in our front courtyard.

The menu at Pelican is ever-changing – a rotational selection that shifts week to week. You’ll find the latest offerings up on the letterboard, and on our printed mini menus available at the kiosk. No set menus here – just simple, tasty fun that reflects what’s fresh and seasonal.

Pelican is open to all, facing the communal park just behind Rottnest’s main settlement precinct (right next to the old Chapel).

Open 6:30am - 4pm, 7 days a week.
