We’re welcoming Julian Langworthy to Rottnest Island for the first in our Winter Wine Series – an evening of seasonal food and thoughtful wine pairings from Deep Woods Estate.
Settle into the Lake View Bar at Sunsets – fully enclosed, with underfloor heating and a crackling fireplace to keep things cosy.
Chef Mat Powell has crafted a four-course dinner with a specially curated menu featuring Kinkawooka mussels with mojo verde, Shark Bay scallops with beetroot and dill, WA fish with almond and horseradish, lamb saddle with jerusalem artichoke and thyme, and goat camembert with Persian fig – all paired with six standout Margaret River wines, introduced by Julian himself.
Julian and Mat will present each course, with live acoustic music setting the tone for a relaxed winter’s night.
Important Note: With the last ferry departing from the island at 4:30pm, this event is made to be enjoyed with an overnight stay - wherever you choose to lay your head - and a slow morning to follow.
